Edit 2: Books I bound when I was learning bookbinding at Reykjavik Technical College. I learned bookbinding just to learn it. I do not have access to most of the professional tools at present but with some thought that is not much of a problem.
Edit: I changed the category to Leatherwork, but even though leather is used in the making of these books I have not found a category I am happy with.
beautiful! I am very jealous, they look lovely. I tried rebinding one of my books for the first time during fall break and promptly made a muddle of it, so I will obviously have to try again. Fortunately it was a cheap used book, but now I miss my Cyrano de Bergerac! I had pretty book covers and everything. At least I can recycle those for something else.
Thank you. I can't help you to learn bookbinding, but I might be able to help you with specific problems. I would recommend finding a class in bookbinding in your area. (There are often classes in bookbinding in resting homes, at least here in Iceland.)
I searched for "book binding tutorials"on google and this [link] was on the first page, it is real bookbinding and not just stapling pages together. It would be a good idea to get some books about bookbinding to.
You should practice on books you do not care about.
